Our Flag Means Death

Stede gestures off, a smile on his face, as though inviting Ed to look again at all of the great wonders on the high seas. In his other hand, he holds the cat flag (because we all know, cats are very evil and steal children's breath.) Ed sits serenely, teacup poised in his hand, the robe wrapped around him and trailing down around the frame. Behind is an intricate design in muted tones, and in front are a bunch of ranunculus, which mean in floral symbolism, "I am dazzled by your charms."
